Gray Clouds

Gray Clouds
Gray equals substance as it suggests the presence of absence.
In the same way storm clouds form to produce a slow and steady rain
—nature’s emotions brew.
Lightening warns with an ominous rumble.
Rolling thunder’s timing with vibration sounds a big loud boom.
Rainfall fills creek beds and now the river flows.
As fog’s veil of moisture hovers low
—in the valley its fine mist blankets quiet hilltops.
Here in a gray cloud is the presence of absence.
